My friends from New Hampshire came down to visit and we all had a blast! On the first night, we all got together and watched Frankenstein's Monster's Monster, Frankenstein. Apparently, after the success of Stranger Things first season, David Harbour used his clout to make this half-hour, Garth Marenghi-like special where he investigates an ill-advised teleplay starring his father, David Harbour Jr. It fucking ruled.
On Saturday, we all got szechuan food, and I made some sketches of the restaurant and some of the people in it. I sometimes worry if I'm being weird when I draw people, but I haven't gotten any complaints yet. My partner also added a lot of cute doodles to fill out the page
I really liked how this page turned out. Looking at it, I realize that my sketches tend to radiate out from the center, but in this case, my partner started the page and I added on top of it, so it's a lot more spread out. It was raining that day, so we all just hung out inside and played some old Nintendo games.
That night, we watched an AEW pay-per-view. I generally don't keep up with wrestling except for them. I think know enough about the storylines to be dangerous! I always like sketching during wrestling because everyone looks outrageous and its a great time to practice anatomy.
Another sketch from a restaurant. We walked around a lot that day, so I didn't get a chance to do much with this page. I like how some of these turned out, especially that guy's turtleneck.
We partied hard on New Years Eve, so this is ll I could draw to break in my Hobonichi on New Years Day 🙃. Ahh well. Good luck in 2024, y'all. We're gonna need it.
