In the next panel, the Mercenary picks up the Tall One and says (in a thought bubble) "Actually, we were planning to leave..." In the third panel, the mercenary uses the Tall One to pry the panel out of alignment, causing it to creak and swoosh away and go flying. John looks shaken. The Mercenary thinks "right about now"
